Having discontinued the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for over a year, ER24 in partnership with Oneplan has resumed the service as Air Angels.
ER24 exited HEMS over a year ago due to economic pressures, but thanks to an agreement between Oneplan, Flightshare and Base 4 Aviation, the company has now relaunched the service as Air Angels.
Air Angels provides helicopter emergency evacuation for up to four occupants in the event of a motor vehicle accident in South Africa. The current ER24 and Oneplan HEMS air ambulance is a fully equipped Bo 105 helicopter, ZS-ONC.
Flightshare in a joint venture with Base 4 Aviation will be rolling out additional aero medical services with ER24 over the next 18 months.
